"Old time charm from times past. This location is in the middle of the parkway with easy walks to many attractions. I loved the porch with a fireplace and rocking chairs. The hot breakfast was wonderful everyday! All the staff were friendly and readily answered questions and gave helpful suggestions."

"Amazing hotel!! Everything was neat and clean and staff were great. A+ Establishment"

"We found a cockroach in our room, waited until morning to inform hotel staff. We would of had to change rooms at 2:00 am. Of course we had no sleep that night! Prior to this, we had decided we needed another day to do all we wanted to to in Galveston, which we got but I feel we should of got the extra day for free. We could of made a big deal about the cockroach issue but we didn't."

"The bathrooms are super old and the balcony is advertised to be a lot bigger than it actually is. We couldn’t even fit 4 people on there. Staff was kind and the room was clean however false advertisement"

"The room was very outdated and had a strong musty odor upon walking in the room. It was extremely outdated and the blinds were broken and there was not enough lighting in the room. It felt like an old dark cave. We tried to get a different room but they were sold out, when the maintenance man came to our room, it felt like he was trying to convince us to keep the blinds broken. We said we needed some natural light in the room because the dim light from the lamps was terrible. The bathroom had...

"It was clean in the way a college dorm room is "clean". The bathroom, sheets, and towels were clean. The room itself was very musty, the carpet was old, and the room overall needed a deep clean. There were fruit flies coming from the sink. Saving grace was the staff. The battery on the door fob died and they replaced it very quickly. I asked if there were any bug traps available for the fruit flies coming from the sink, and another member brought some bleach which helped. Would not...

"The check in staff was rude I checked in on line prior to arrival, when i went in to complete the check in he didn’t acknowledge my existence until he was ready and then he acknowledged I was there. The air worked about as good as the unit looked like it was on its last leg ready to blow."

"We really enjoyed our stay. Room as very spacious... not cramped at all. Room was exceptionally clean. The only draw back is there could have been a little more light. There were only 2 lamps on the room.... a floor lamp and 1 lamp on 1 side of the bed... my husband did not have a lamp on his side and there was no lamp on the desk... some corners were a little dark and it was a bit had to see. This was not a big deal. We just moved our bags to where we could see what we were doing. The...

"Everything was good but if you're on the bottom floor expect to hear footsteps all night every night. Staff was really friendly and helpful"

"Poor property maintenance.. Many areas of the building outside was in need of much repair.. Bathroom door laminate is pealing off the bottom and loose scraping the floor when opening and closing.."

"We reserved and paid for balcony but did not get a room with balcony"
