"Immaculate "

"This is such a great place to go to unplug for a few days! There is WiFi, but it is not fast, which is exactly what we were looking for! We stayed three nights and did not leave the grounds. The restuarant is open for breafast, lunch, and supper, and there is a small fridge in each cabin. The staff is attentive, helpful, and friendly; we happened to be there during a winter storm, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure everyone was safe and comfortable. "Highly recommend—great old farmhouse! Clean, cozy, and comfortable. My dog loved the 10 acres! Saw deer & hawks. And it was right in town, close to everything including a couple of beautiful state parks. Exactly how it was described in the ad. Note: it’s not terribly modern and chichi but it’s a cool house with lots of nice touches! Hope to stay here again."

"Apartment was clean, down to earth (literally, lol...semi-basement apartment, but totally comfortable and plenty of air and light), both furnished and kitchen stocked with the basics, neighborhood was quiet, and bed was comfortable. Considering the sketchy reviews of hotels in the area and that the only dependable one was the Holiday Inn (which charges *Chicago* rates), this was an excellent place to stay. Highly recommended!"
