"This is what you might call an eco-retro motel. We enjoyed the motel vibe and had a great view of the mountains. We also took advantage of the sauna (no charge for those staying at the motel but you need to reserve). The breakfast was also delicious and the restaurant was excellent for dinner. We also appreciated the kitchenette in the room. This motel is just far enough from the city center of Queenstown to be away from the hustle and bustle. "Was really excited about this stay and it was the most disappointing hotel we experienced after a month in NZ. The photos were deceptive. The rooms are small and basic, very basic amenities in room, the shower floods, the bed and pillows not comfortable. Forget about the restaurant for dinner unless you book well in advance- they take a deposit and if you're not in the 48 hour cancellation window you lose your deposit.
