"Lovely old pub to stay at. Plenty of parking. We were there Sunday night and they have limited menu for food (roasts, fish and chips or a burger) but what we had was really good. Shout out to Jill who seemed to be every where. Dealing with check in, serving behind the bar, taking orders at the table and delivering food to tables!!! Amazing!! And to top it off a really good breakfast to see you off. Highly recommended"

"Extremely friendly and courteous staff, in particular the lady who checked us in and the breakfast team. The hotel is being systematically renovated and the public areas are of a high standard. Our room was clean and well maintained and whilst the bathroom was clean and functional it would have benefited from being renovated. That said, there was nothing seriously wrong with it. "The room was very dainted could do with a reverb in the bedrooms stayed on the hottest weekend in June and all we had was a old small fan in the room Bathroom could do with a very deep clean. Pub itself was nice. Stuff behind the bar were very friendly. Landlord was grumpy and chose to see it with both their big air-condition fans facing himself."

"We booked about an hour before we were due to arrive and everything was excellent with our room. Considering the price the rooms are set up with anything you might need (even including a bottle opener!) We were welcomed by very helpful staff."

"The pub is an old building, therefore there are things that cannot be changed, so if you are a light sleeper and cannot use ear plugs this may not be for you. It was not an issue for us. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, we had one evening meal there, breakfast was perfect, they were very accommodating by tweaking the menu to what you prefer. Very close to the caves and gorge, easy to access other attractions."

"The B&B is definitely the best in my experience. Bedroom as well as bathroom are very clean and tidy. The paper folders in bathroom is antique-wise. Also electrical equipments are convenient and cool. Coffee server and fridge are stylish. Lights are well designed. Breakfast is delicious and plenty. Graham’s homemade jams are excellent. "The staff are lovely, and the property and gardens are beautiful (although they’re not quite as new or updated as the photos make it seem). It’s more of a charming quiet calm hotel in the countryside. My only issue was that the carpet had tons of large stains on it, which was rather gross and I’d expect a hotel to have a vacuum cleaner that can take stains out of the carpet. My second issue was there was no chair or desk in the room. I didn’t care that the tv only had 4 channels- all the other...

"It was a nice property overall, but our room reeked of cigarettes, now my clothes also smell of cigarettes :-( We booked a second room for the rest of the family and that was much nicer. Helpful staff, nice restaurant with a delicious breakfast. Beautiful sunset over the restaurant terrace."

"We had a 2 night stay to celebrate my husband's birthday. Faultless service from the staff in all areas and particularly the restaurant. Spa area and all 3 pools are spotless, just enough loungers, more than enough towels and shade - and on a hot day a beautiful place to chill out after exploring Bath. Bar lounge menus and main restaurant menu are good value, food is excellent."

"Really lovely place. Very quiet and peaceful. A bit off the beaten track but still only half an hour away from Bristol. Really comfortable bed, and I had the best nights sleep I’ve had in ages. I wouldn’t say this if it wasn’t true! Only one minor point is that the shower head was a bit too low for me, as I’m around 6’ tall."
