"Was offered a free upgrade to the newer/modern building but after viewing both chose the older section. Room 17. Absolutely stunning view over the rain forest to the Auckland city and downtown. Very spacious living area. Nice spa. It was dated and worn as we were told so at reception (and offered the free upgrade) but we needed the kitchenette and couldn't bypass that view. Felt like a tree house. The other units in that building didn't have the view. Parking was tight but convenient. Didn't try the pool as it was too cool of a day. Great view there though. Did not not try the restaurant either although the menu looked great and the there view stunning."

"The house is modern and tidy, though an air conditioner would hugely help in hot an super humid conditions.We had some issues with checking in and out as we were given the code from the wrong key box on check in and it took some time to get hold of the hosts to open the right house.It would also be useful to clearly reflect in the property description that the dense bush surrounding the house does not have any walking paths. We were hoping to walk around but though pleasant to observe and abundant with beautiful birds that we loved to watch, the bush was literally impenetrable. The driveway was too steep for our car to drive in and overall the street is quite challenging to drive so the spot feels very isolated, which can be perfect for someone but too much so for us."

"Owner Brian was fantastic and very friendly! we stayed in the room with the garden view and king bed . Doors open to the patio was lovely! Felt very comfortable and highly recommend . "

"Place was dirty.Kitchen hob took forever to ignite.Lounge suite was grubby.Rubbish in garage.Garage door was broken.Kitchen sink leaked.Ac filters blocked with dust.Mould on curtians and in bathroom.Sliding doors were broken and you had to drag them in tracks.No instructions on arrival about net or rubbish collection.Yard messy.Broken window in bedroom so it cant be locked.It is a big nice house, plenty of room.But it needs cleaned and maintained.While there my father had massive problems with his asthma from all the dust and mould."

"The views were amazing, even the night sky. Grocery stores nearby. House was clean and even had some Christmas decor. All the basics we needed for our 2 night stay. We really enjoyed going to Mission Bay and Piha Beach."
