"Overall, we did not have any specific negative feedback about the hotel itself. However we were disappointed with the pre-authorisation hold that was actually charged after we checked out despite us having pre-paid for the hotel. It's been close to a month and we still have not received the refunded amount. At check-in, we were informed that the RMB 2,000 deposit (USD300) was a temporary pre-authorization hold (not charge) for incidentals that would be released upon checkout. However, despite having prepaid for our rooms in full, this amount was actually charged to our card the day after we had already checked out. Furthermore, our check-in process took over an hour because the hotel was unable to retrieve our full reservation; staff could only locate two rooms despite our booking for three. This caused significant anxiety for my family and led to a substantial delay for a tour we had booked. This experience has been very frustrating and below the standards expected of a 5-star hotel!"

The staff were consistently helpful and welcoming, making everything effortless from check-in to departure. Its location is ideal—just a short, easy walk from the airport, which made our journey so much smoother. The breakfast was absolutely brilliant, with a great variety and quality to start the day. "We were a little disappointed with the hotel. We booked an executive suite but it looked quite different to the photos (not as nice). Breakfast was not great - hot food was either luke warm, or cold, and none of the coffee machines were working properly and none of the staff rectified the issue. The positive’s was that the bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, and the location of the hotel is very good. If we return to Shanghai we wouldn’t stay here again."
