"We absolutely loved the location and the beautiful common areas at Hilltop Legacy — peaceful surroundings and stunning views! The host was very friendly and even took time to chat with us and share some great local recommendations. The bathroom didn’t have a vent, so it could get a bit musty after use, and we missed having a microwave and an iron. "We love staying at the Dolphin Bay Hotel. It is conveniently located near many places we visit, the staff is wonderful, and the rooms are simple but roomy. We also enjoy how peaceful the neighborhood is and a big bonus is getting fresh coffee, banana bread and fruit every morning. Parking is easy, the WiFi is 5G so accessing devices is super quick. "

Grand Naniloa Hotel Hilo - a Doubletree by Hilton

"We have been having great experiences in Hawaii at every place we have stayed so far. But I have to mention something special about this property. We stayed here only for one night -but every bit of it was worth it. The staff at the reception desk on 20 th evening - her name is Ipo - was just amazing! We just mentioned that our younger one’s birthday is on 21 st and we wanted to know if there was an option of getting a cake somewhere. Not only she arranged a cake as a courtesy , she got beautiful garland and a cute birthday card signed by the staffs for our little one and had everything ready to be picked up at the front desk at 11 at night! We travel all around the world - this was so special ! We never experienced this kind of hospitality anywhere before ! They didn’t have to do any of it - we would still love the property - its location right on the water - beautiful view from the balcony - the excellent service by the staffs at the restaurant! We couldn’t ask for anything more ! It will be nice to come back again ! Thank you Ipo and thank you all the staffs ! "

Great Location and Comfortable Rental

"Had a wonderful stay at this location, very roomy and bright. Rooms were clean and comfortable with lots of windows that made the place feel very open. I was a little concerned with only one A/C unit in the main room, but we actually didn't use it at all during our stay. The location is great and everything we wanted do was a short drive away. One word of caution for anyone with mobility issues, the unit is located up an internal flight of stairs. This wasn't a issue for us but might be good to know for others."

Quite, spacious 3 bedroom unit in an ideal convenient location downtown Hilo

Perfect home base for our adventures.

"This property was perfect for us. We had coffee and toast on the screened patio/kitchen every morning before heading out to explore. At night we’d relax on the couches for a few minutes before dispersing to our own bedrooms. I was a little worried about 1 bathroom for 4 adults, but the toilet is separate from the sink and shower so it worked perfectly for us. There are TVs in the bedrooms, but I don’t think we even turned them on. The property was extremely clean and the garden in the back made it feel like you weren’t 1/2 a block from a major shopping center. The location was 5-10 minutes from UH and close to national chain stores, but still felt secluded. A/C units in each bedroom were a major plus when the humidity became a bit much for us mainlanders. "
