"I lovely historic hotel, oozing grandeur, in a wonderful waterfront location. Ornate and colourful public rooms. No on-site parking, but in a separate car park one street away. Bit of an ordeal to get your luggage and stuff from the car to your room. For classic room Read very small, no frills, no windows or views, but opens to a nice shared interior balcony area. The room was clean with all amenities. More a walk back through history experience than a luxury stay."

"Very Spacious and beautiful house, easily accommodates 15 to 18 people. With beach views from lounge, kitchen and outdoor lounge.Beautiful Beach at walkable distance.Fully equipped kitchen. It would be lovely to have linen provided, it was really too much Linen to carry."

"Wow what a fabulous stay! The house is more gorgeous than the pictures and the view is out of this world. Clive has thought of everything to make the stay perfect. Seriously I have never stayed in a better equipped house. The things that are often lacking like paper towels, napkins, spices, oils and such were included but also nice wooden hangers, beach towels, a blender, nice pans, ice, a sodastream!, placemats, even masks and covid tests! Really comfy beds, furniture, everything. We stayed 12 nights and then lovely Lana came to clean up and change linens after a few nights which was wonderful. I chose this spot for a significant birthday and anniversary celebration and so glad I did. It was perfect and we can’t wait to come back. Russell is a gem! Thank you Clive!"

"The location and views from this home are absolutely incredible! The home set up for us was just perfect with everything you needed to make your stay relaxed. We truly didn’t want to leave the property as we just soaked up the views into the bay, watching sailboats come and go and the crashing surf. Getting up to watch sunrise is a must! An easy walk to a beautiful beach around the corner with a floating dock. Don’t miss the walk up and along the coast head to catch sunset and birds flitting around. Russell is a short drive away with many great restaurant options and ferries to and from Paihia. We hope to be back again!!"

"An absolutely fantastic location, magnified by the beautiful weather we had! Hearing the sounds of the ocean, seeing the beautiful blues & greens in the sea, fossicking on the beach, hearing the native birds and only 5 minutes from town. A great place for rest and reinvigoration! Truely a unique coastal bach position on a beautiful coast. Clive is a great host. We will be back again for sure!"
