"This is a delightful heritage building right in the heart of Stowe. The rooms are really generously sized. It's an old building, but if you don't mind a bit of creak in your step, it's a FABULOUS place to stay. I didn't go to the on-site restaurant but I heard good things. Self check-in, if you're ok with that."

"The unit was very clean and easy to find, and easy to check in to with the lockbox code. We were 2 families interested in skiing, so it was nice to find something big enough for 9 of us, with easy access to the free mountain shuttle. I was disappointed that although it is marketed to sleep 10, and it does, it had seating at the table for only 4. Maybe most people just go out to dinner, but part of the reason we stay at guest houses is to have the ability to do some family dinners in house. Interestingly there was no photo of the kitchen. I understand why - it is small, but functional. We made that part work. The plates are too big for the dishwasher though.... Another simple upgrade for skiiers would be to put some hooks in the hallway for coats and snowpants. Overall it worked out, the agent was easy to communicate with, and we had a good time."
