"Evening meal disappointing Spa noisy Room - rather like a "Premier Inn" , lacking 4* character"

"Room was much bigger than expected (possibly an upgrade) and seemed to have been recently renovated. Spotlessly clean and comfortable bed. Breakfast was included although my invoice stated room only. Apparently all rooms here include breakfast which was very good. Highlight really was the friendliness of staff which is probably because it’s an independent property and they genuinely want to make guests feel welcome. "

"Unfortunately the room requested was not available as we had our small dog with us so were allocated a dog friendly room which was fine but it only had a 4’6 bed which really is not expected these days. Following the downgrading of the room by the hotel and being advised that the room requested would be cheaper. The new price unfortunately was not honoured despite numerous requests for a refund so overall not the best experience."

"The room was a little cold, but the staff gave us an electric heater. So all was good. Lovely staff, food amazing deffo recommend. "

"I was on a special break with my daughter Julia and her husband Sean as I have mobility problems I had not been home for two years. We visited Ventnor where I was born and Bonchurch where we had lived. Met my cousins. And toured the Island. Lavender Cotttage was perfect cosy, clean comfortable and well maintained.thank you."

"Owner was very welcoming, room was nice and clean, fresh sheets, clean towels and price was very reasonable. Breakfast was nice enough. Fresh fruit, juice, cereal, yogurts, toast, fresh tea and coffee, more than enough to choose from. Ethel was very helpful and polite. Highly recommended."

"The room seemed clean, dirty towel that was left was removed after this was pointed out. Room was well equipped with coffee maker and kettle, nice modern bathroom. To our surprise the room was not cleaned during the day and towels not refreshed. Also coffee, tea, water etc was not replenished. Breakfast in the local pub across the square was not good. No fresh fruit for instance and the used ingredients were not the best."

"As it shows on the picture ,beautiful sea view, mesmerising every time, liads of dog walk areas, poo bins for us responsive dog walkers with poo bags, amazingly equiped holiday home, better than home? Warm, airy with high ceilings, and so much space. A hoover to keep those pesky walkd in/blown in leaves, had a great 4 days will certainly be back. "

"Lovely caravan on al lovely site just a little bit out of the way . Couldn’t stay there without a car.But we had a lovely caravan and nothing is too far away.we had a brilliant holiday."
