"Thank you Steamer Inn. We had a sea view balcony room. Wonderful location and great staff. It is not The Ritz nor does it pretend to be. But it does have a comfortable bed and a balcony overlooking the sea. Local information (guides, maps etc) are also available. We have stayed there before and we will return. It's nice to be shown to your room (we were given an early check in) and the shower was very good. The breakfast was also very good. If we were to nit pick, some coat hooks in the room (perhaps on the back of the door) would be useful and it would be nice to have some lighter options at breakfast (yogurts, fruits etc) would be good. Looking further into the season, it would be nice to have somewhere to hang wet swimwear after the beach."

"Arrived at hotel early evening, got to room to find tv not working, spoke to receptionist who looked at it whilst we were out for food, I told them it wasn't too much of a problem as I could use my laptop. Returned to hotel reception stated there was a problem with the TV. I said it was ok ill use my laptop. Room was basic with a handbag in the room separate from the shower in toilet, fan in shower stays on for an hour fater Turing all off, theres a constant blue light coming from an electric mirror that you cannot turn off, then there are 2 very bright spotlights shining up at the hotel from the front which emit so much light, that comes through sides and top of closed curtains. I tried to explain this the the manager in the morning who was really quite aggressive towards me.. stating tv was working etc, it was me not turning it all on correctly, even though I was told by night receptionist it wasn't working, 10 mins later the night receptionist had an aggressive go at me too... all in all a very poor night's sleep plus very very poor customer service skills by the management."

"The Hilton or Marriott it is not but The Marlborough Hotel is a nice value for money boutique property very close to the beach and ideal for a short break. Our room was spotless which was a feature across the hotel. Breakfast was excellent with a large range of breakfast products. There was nothing that we wanted for. The position of the hotel provided limited sea views apart from one of the hotel premiere rooms which seemed to have a large balcony on the top floor. One aspect of the location to consider is the beach are cliffs are subject to erosion so there are a number of repair sites close by which didn’t bother us at all. All in all a very nice stay. "
