"This was a find of the best kind. Positioned adjacent to the esplanade & overlooking the beach from a ‘cliff top’ position, it was better than I expected. I had a small double room with view from a side window which I thought might mean I would have to press my nose against the window but it was a fabulous view of the beach & Shanklin Chine area, as well as the town & beyond to the other side. I watched the sun set over the downs. Salma & her staff were friendly & kind, nothing was too much trouble. The meals, breakfast was full English with good selection of cereals plus cooked food, & dinner, oh my, I chose the sea bass which came with vegetables & it was the best I have tasted! Sunday mornings breakfast was serenaded by a Chap playing the piano, the dining area was either in or next to a conservatory across the entire front of the building overlooking the sea. I’d definitely come again. Oh, & there’s free parking on site!"

"The hotel is well maintain and the public areas are a pleasant place to spend time. Decor/furnishing is fun and good quality. The rooms are a good size and the bed was very comfortable. The pool area is not huge, but is a pleasant place to spend some time. Parking is limited. Sadly, I had an issue with dinner and breakfast. The website had stated that their was food available in the evening during peak season, but that was not the case. The website seems to have been updated to reflect this. Breakfast is served from 8am to 10am, which I found a little limited as I was travelling for work. Sadly, the doors to the restaurant were still closed at 8.05am, so I was forced to make alternative arrangements. Small things to fix, but overall good."

"We arrived early but we're shown straight to our room. The room was a good size with a very clean bathroom. The bathroom was of a good size with a walk in shower. The breakfast menu was more than adequate, enabling a cooked breakfast, cereal or fruit every day. The quality of the breakfast was excellent. The location was great, allowing a short walk into town or the old town and a lift ride to the seafront. This is a bonus after a long day out, as getting to and from the evening meal location was easy. Parking was simple and although a small area I managed to park my car off the road every day. Overall we had a great weeks holiday using the hotel as a base."

"Really lovely place. I liked the decoration to the room (the rope along the skirting board was a nice touch). Jackie was a great host and provided a very nice breakfast. It’s well located between the high street, the beach/ cliff lift and the old town isn’t that far away at all. Would definitely return here some day! Thank you Jackie!"

"Great hosts, really friendly attentive service. Lovely decor with a beech hut theme. Wonderful breakfasts. Lovely mature garden, very extoic, and I found myself sending more time in the garden than I probably should have. Clean facilities, very swanky spicy, sandlewoody shower gel/shammpoo and condition, dont bring any of your own you won't need it, and the conditioner made light work of my long fine, tangly and beechy hair. I enjoyed my stay so much here, that I feel it necessary to devote the time to compose a more comprehensive review, but I have just got back from my stay. If you are reading this, don't hesitate."
