"OK Lodge is just a name; what is is is a (nicely) extended and converted terraced house opposite a park; so now a few studio flats, with some common areas. Modern and clean but a couple of issues - like oven not even wired in; no table to eat off; and also whilst we booked for 3 adults and was confirmed; they called to say max was 2 adults & a child and would not refund the extra £50 for the 3rd adult (who couldn't now come of course) and I had to go through Expedia to get resolved. "Please note that the stairs from the car park to the back of the hotel are not for the faint hearted in rain! Metal circular stairs with a tight wind is not something that is fun with baggage. Similarly the stairs to my room were also quite tight with baggage. This is important for many to note. I was on the 2nd floor. But the bigger issue for me was the shower. I did not raise this with reception as it was nearly midnight at the time. The shower temperature fluctuated between scalding (highly dangerous) to very cold regardless of what I did. I managed to negotiate the time as it moved from one to the other in order to shower but as it was very weak it was not a great experience. On a positive note, the room was clean, tidy and with plenty of sockets."
