"Stayed at The Roadhouse for one night. The location was convenient and check-in was straightforward, but the room felt very tired and in need of some updating. Décor and furnishings looked worn, and overall it didn’t feel as fresh as expected. It was fine for a short stay, but with some refurbishment it could be much better."

"Firstly the SMELL OF SEWERS was overpowering. Taking freezing cold showers takes a bit getting used to. I had booked 3 nights I was so disgusted with the smell and cold water I checked out after 2 nights I told the Asian man at the reception that he can use the money I paid for the 3rd night to get his Boiler Fixed. Stay if you have more money than sense!"

"Disappointed that the leasure center and pool were undergoing renovation and we had not been informed of this at the booking stage. We should have been informed by the hotel or Expedia. What compensation will there be for this disappoint."

They were lovely and went out of their way however: No hot water in the morning Blocked drains TV didn’t work No sanitary bin Stains on the ceiling Uncomfortable bed Thin walls Incredibly noisy but ineffective flush This could just be bad luck and I give the benefit of the doubt here. As I say, staff were super helpful and I’m sure with some investment and effort it could be great."

"Nice room but unfortunately very poor parking. They were digging up Brecon high street which made it a bit inconvenient, but it was planned maintenance so just one of those things."

"Excellent food and drinks. Staff were all very helpful. Dined in the bar which was a bit busy. Would probably book the restaurant if we stayed again. Bedroom was lovely. A little pricey compared to rooms of a similar standard we've stayed in but that's probably down to the popularity of the hotel."
