"The hotel was decent and most of the staff were very helpful except one day we ran out of towels and after requesting them twice and still not receiving them I went down to the lobby where a young member of staff was a bit belligerent about having towels. Apart from that , the hotel was decent. Room is small for what you pay ."

"checking in was difficult. nobody was there upon arrival, door was locked. i had to call someone offsite to help check me in. self-check in wasn’t operational. called again to reboot system. staff sent an email requesting i pay again for my reservation i’ve already booked. bed came with one comforter, base price was for two adults. staff digitally requested that i pay an extra $10 per night per person. all was eventually resolved but it was one after another."

"The walk from the subway to the hotel is not ideal, so if you're traveling with luggage, might want to consider another hotel. This might be on us, since our previous hotel let us check in early with no fee, but the person who helped us check in an hour earlier than the start time, didn't tell us that what we were paying for was an early check-in fee and grouped it together with the tourist fee and this should have been clarified to us with the receipt but it was not. The AC felt nonexistent...

"We had a wonderful stay at the Maritim Hotel Köln and would happily stay here again. The room was spotless when we arrived, and we really appreciated having reliable air conditioning during some warm July days. The hotel is in an excellent location, it is an easy walk to Cologne Cathedral, the Old Town, the Rhine, and plenty of great restaurants and shops. We were able to explore most of the city centre on foot, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff were consistently friendly,...
