"The hosts were very responsive and helpful. The yard is fully fenced for pets. Nice view overlooking the Upper Truckee River. As for the house it is old! Don’t expect any modern amenities. The decor is old, nothing has been updated. Tile and grout , floors were clean but looked very used. Some may call it charm. Still looks like the 1960/70’s. Downstairs bedroom door doesn’t close due to house settling and warping, Some switch plates are loose. The floors creak through out. The windows in the dining room don’t close all the way. And since it’s the first house off of the Blvd, it can get noisy (bar across the blvd…music). The two bedrooms upstairs are nice with the most updated bathroom with a free standing tub (no shower). The stairs are VERY steep. The downstairs bathroom is old with the outlet in the light base. A bit sketchy and when I plugged in the blow dryer the light flickered. The kitchen is stocked with tons of pot, pans, utensils, etc. gas stove, newer fridge. Deck is worn but pleasant with 4 chairs around table fire pit. The steps off the deck aren’t the best and uneven broken concrete at the base. Bring pet poop bags!!! Never found a pooper scooper, hand picked it all. WiFi was good and huge TV in living room with all streaming and channels! Will not fit large vehicles like trucks. Garage will fit two smaller cars, but no parking unless you park parallel in front of the garage doors. Bottom line is: it worked for what I needed 2 nights."

"It was a working trip.The kitchen was nicely stocked with dishes and utensils, coffee pot, which made it real nice. We didn’t have to go out to eat. Just went to the store and bought some groceries. Very clean very pleased with our stay. The camp was nice and quiet very friendly."

"I think it’s a great quaint motel right before you hit the busy zones of Tahoe and right outside Tahoe Valley campground. The property is family owned and very well maintained. The room is clean and nice and has all the basics you need. I really loved the lighted bathroom mirrors. Parking was plenty plus easy to park a truck. You do go to another hotel Apex also owned by them a couple bldgs down to check in but it was easy. Don’t come expecting a 4 star then be mad you don’t get it. Because it’s not and they don’t claim to be but what you do get is nice simple meet your needs and a little more very clean and safe motel for a great savings. I love carpet in my rooms which this had and I loved and all the space in the room for our bags or bikes even. You can tell they’ve really put ALOT of effort into making this nice. If you’re not into hard very firm spring beds and firm pillows well then, being some extra like I do. There are Great little places nearby to eat and walk to or bring your bikes. Or head to nearby trails for a nice hike to Truckee river. I really like the owners and staff they went above and beyond to make our stay welcome from beginning to end. If they did even once a year upgrade a room mattress at a time to a memory foam mattress they’d be my perfect secret spot to stay!! But if you love an old fashion spring firm one you’re set now :) thank you for hosting look forward to future visits!"

"This hotel is fantastic. I appreciate the complimentary parking available for guests. The establishment is tidy and well-kept. The staff is friendly and accommodating. When I requested a wine opener, they provided me with a brand-new cork at no cost. The pool is pleasantly warm; despite the outside temperature being 51 degrees, the water felt inviting. They also have a hot-tub. Their BBQ area is exceptional. I adore everything about this location. There is a trail to the left, and the city is just 1.8 miles away; turn right and continue straight. I truly enjoy this place; this marks my fourth visit. The bedroom is equipped with a bed, sofa, microwave, refrigerator, all necessary supplies, coffee, etc., and there are two TVs—one in the living room and another in the bedroom. Thank you, Ash Chand."
