"I used to stay at this hotel property a bit back when it was an Embassy Suites. First time staying as a Margaritaville. I love what they have done with the updates. They have literally brightened up the hotel and made it a tropical oasis in the middle of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Live music on the weekends, and family focused movies in the indoor pool at night. I truly look forward to my next stay. My *only* critique of the place is they appear to still have older HVAC units in the rooms that are a bit loud and clunky for my taste (at least my room's was loud). For that, I rate the place 4.5 out of 5 stars"

"The room was quite good overall. We stayed in a standard king room, and the bed was comfortable. We had no issues with the room, and the heater worked really well. The only downside was the shower area, which was very small and had visible mold around it. We also noticed a few spiders in the bathroom. While this is somewhat understandable given that the property is surrounded by nature, it was still a little unsettling. However, the bathroom was manageable overall. Apart from these issues, we had a pleasant stay."

"Needed first floor due to an injury could not help due to booking through 3rd party....had stairs only which was difficult due to injury. room was good and parking was open. wi fi worked well. No tv in rooms....which was a nice change. There is a bear problem so keep nothing in your car/truck"
