"This is a lovely place to stay. The staff are very attentive and friendly, breakfast was excellent with good quality products…. I didn’t have dinner at the hotel, but the menu is varied and the people I saw eating seemed to be enjoying themselves. It’s less than 10 mins from the A38, through country lanes which makes you feel as if you are a lot farther from the hustle and bustle than you actually are…..a gem of a find and I will be back…."

"Really enjoyed staying here. Peaceful and full of nature. The sound of pheasants and other birds with lovely views and walks.The cottage was clean and tidy and the owner communicated well. Would have liked a few more chairs or a sofa in the lounge area and a starter pack for the wood burner. I did bring some logs but having a night's supply is usually standard in holiday rentals. The room upstairs was a lovely cosy area where my son could have a bit of space. The utility area is perfect if you have dogs. Ours slept here. Would stay again as this area of Devon is beautiful."

"Ample parking- could probably get 4 cars on the drive (depending on how wide your car is). The reason for the low rating is that the entire house stunk of damp. During the day I left my pyjama top on the bedroom floor (carpeted) and when I came to put it on at the end of the day, the entire top was damp. We tried to air out the property a bit on Friday afternoon but it was a persistent odour we couldn’t get rid of which made our entire stay in the house rather unpleasant. "
