"The hotel is conveniently located in the old town area of Funchal. This is close to many restaurants, near the marina (where all the tour boats go from), near public transport, taxi’s and quick Bolt pick ups, and also where the cable car goes up to Monte. The hotel itself was very nice, good rooms and staff were very helpful. We did have an issue with the drains (producing an awful smell) in our original room and after a little bit of discussion we were given a new room for the trip. Breakfast was very good."

"Eine super gelegene Unterkunft oberhalb von Funchal. Von dort aus ist es kein Problem überall hinzukommen, wenn man einen Mietwagen hat. Auch der Gastgeber war super nett und unkompliziert. Direkt um die Ecke ist das in unseren Augen beste und auf der Insel nach unserer Auskunft auch das einzige Restaurant, in dem man seine Fleischspieße selbst grillt über offenem Feuer mit einem super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Auch ein Supermarkt ist fußläufig erreichbar, allerdings haben wir den nur für die Erstausstattung genutzt und sind dann immer einen Continente Modelo angefahren."

"Very nice apartment, well equipped, though missing few things like frying pan, bin bags, remote batteries, washing tablets- we stayed for 10 days and run out of products. The shower is great but there really should be a better screen as the water goes everywhere and you can smell damp and the sewer at times. Shower knobs also need fixing as they’re very difficult to turn. Great heated swimming pool, property kept clean, allocated parking space. The view is beautiful. Great market few mins down the road with loads of ready meals and everything you need. The ground floor apartment is convenient, but the main door is very loud and you can also hear the noise from upstairs as there’s wooden floors. The bed is super comfy and really well insulated windows and doors, so you get minimal noise from the outside. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and the location is super convenient for exploring the island, and I would stay again!"
