Really friendly front desk staff and very helpful as well. Breakfast outside overlooking Funchal and the sea was lovely. Beautiful garden. Could use some updates but generally very nice. Was there for five nights and it felt like home.

I loved this hotel. Very peaceful in the garden, and the breakfast was great. The room is larger than I was expecting and had a small kitchenette that was very useful. The bathroom space is very functional. The staff were super helpful and friendly especially during our very early checkin in and check out to catch our flights. Would stay here again for sure

Amazing place and outstanding staff. Andre, in particular, was exceptionally helpful welcoming from the moment we arrived and consistently proactive throughout my stay. He anticipated what we might need, offered thoughtful recommendations, and followed up to make sure everything was perfect. The rest of the team mirrored that same warm, professional attitude: quick to greet, attentive without being intrusive, and genuinely proud of their work. Beautiful property. Spacious room. Nice assortment for breakfast. Walking distance to downtown Funchal from hotel Make sure that you reserve parking. Very small parking garage and you need to reserve ahead of time. Staff was awesome in service.

Was a bit hard to communicate to the front desk when informing them about my late arrival. They were very helpful on arrival but getting around the property was a bit difficult and the lack of instruction about appropriate entrances at certain times throughout the day made things a bit hard. Breakfast at the cafe on site was lovely. Make sure you inform the hotel prior to arrival if you have a car you need to park. You need a set of keys to get through all the doors and they only give you one set so keep that in mind. Lastly, the beds were extremely hard, we had to sleep on top of our comforters to pad them so our hips and shoulders didn’t hurt

The hotel was a delightful experience in every way. We wanted to avoid being in the historical district of Funchal which is full of crowds, noise and the multiple cruiseliners. The hotel is an comfortable 20 min walk up an easy hill and is an oasis in the city: exquisite landscaping and gardens and sublime view. Hotel is spotlessly clean and staff is extremely friendly and welcoming.
