"Not a country club. The hotel has a nice history and we had a safe, clean room. It’s more like a country time share facility. After a long drive we arrived at 7:30 pm and wanted to jump in the pool but was disappointed to hear they closed at 7:00 pm which we thought was pretty early. No restaurant on site. No coffee onsite outside of a pot in your room. "

"Mat and Wolfie made our stay at the Wellington wonderful! Both were helpful with suggestions for hikes and food. We had long conversations with each. The pub had a nice fire,and Wolfie was kind, hospitable, and intriguing. Mat helped us find the most perfect room as we were walkins arriving just before dinner. He told us stories and laughed and enjoyed our interest in the area. It was definitely one of our most favorite stays in the UK. The hotel is charming and a quintessential UK pub hotel. The food was excellent too! A full five star stay! Thanks Wolfie and Mat!! We will see you again. "
