"Great hotel if cycling C2C, as they serve breakfast from 4am. Cycles allowed in rooms too. Very clean, although my bathroom was very small and fitted with a movement light, which meant it going dark whilst in the shower"

"Excellent hotel, nothing to complain about. Stayed here to go to scafell pike which was around 25 minutes drive away. Also a beach around 10 minutes drive away. Hotel has a large car park, great outdoor space to sit as well. Only down side was we went to pool room and it was locked, got the staff to open it and got change for the table from the bar. Just as we were going to start playing noticed one cue was broken in half and the other the tip was missing. Dart board not in the best condition....

"A good location, great breakfast and friendly hosts combined for a lovely stay. I used the health club and went at a quite busy time (after work slot), I would advise visiting outside the peak hours if you can. Facilities at the gym/spa were great, it was just busy and not as clean etc as a result. Overall a great stay and will stay again next time i am in the area. "

"Amazing stay at a beautiful property. Just off the Coast to Coast walk, this hotel was a perfect place to recover from a long walk. And the all-day tea/coffee and scones was a lifesaver. The rooms were nice and the food was delicious. Could not recommend more. They even had a place to fill up water bottles/bladders next to a gear drying room, which was a nice touch. "
