"Very poliete friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Very comfortable, clean tidy room. Food excellent. If i had a quibble it would be the fact the telly doesn't get BBC1, so I couldn't watch the football on Sunday night. That is no ones fault, because it was just due to lack of signal, because of the hills. "

"Overall this property is excellent. Mattress for me a alittle soft but got used to it after a couple of days. Staff are excellent,helpful and cant do enough to be of service. Although they dont do breakfast as a option there's a excellent food wagon on their rear car park that does excellent breakfast and lunch options. Will definitely stay again in the near future "

"We stayed here to climb Scafell Pike the next day. The staff were incredible friendly and helpful with great advice on the routes to take. The breakfast was delicious and exactly what we needed before the hike up the mountain. The location is absolutely stunning as well. Couldn't recommend more."

"First time I'd stayed at the Clifton and it was a lovely stay. Lovely welcome, lovely view across the bay from my bed, and nice and clean and comfortable. Would have liked a little lamp in my room instead of the big light, and the bathroom fan didnt work but other than that it was lovely. Breakfast was self service and it was lovely, the sausages were MASSIVE and the waiter brought coffee or tea as required. Would i stay again ? Yes, most definitely. I'm a Morecambe FC season ticket holder...

"Stayed here for two nights with my friend while hiking in the area. Friendly and lovely place. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was amazing, room was clean and comfortable with an amazing view over the garden and mountains beyond. Spent our evenings watching the red squirrels, birds, deer and badgers out of the bedroom window. Perfect place to use as a base or to spend time in the gardens. "This property delivers on all it offers. Little touches such as liquid soap in bathroom & kitchen, tea towel, sponge, washing up liquid all available for us & very much appreciated. Tea , coffee, sugar also free to use. Everything in good working order & clean. Just round corner from main town so very accessible however a bit noisy from pubs but we sleep with ear plus anyway so never heard anything once in bed. Communication throughout was exemplary "
