"Generally our stay was good but a few things let the hotel down a little. When checking in there weren’t enough staff on reception so it meant we were waiting for a while. Some of the staff seemed a little mardy, and not just with us but with other customers too. The shower in our room wasn’t powerful at all and struggled to get up to temperature, if at all. We thought the hotel looked a bit tired around the edges as well. But if you’re looking for a reasonably priced hotel in Plymouth that’s close to things to do then this is a good choice. Just be aware that it might not tick all your boxes."

"All was very good, nice clean comfortable room nice breakfast but the car parking arrangements were farcical. I tried to pay on arrival in the car park but the one machine would not make a charge against of the 4 cards I presented... I tried to pay in reception on checkout but could not I tried to pay with the accommodation bill at reception but was told I couldn't.. So back to the car park and tried the machines again.. Failed this needs sorting out."

"I was charged twice. First by Hotels.com and then again at checkin at the hotel. Had to get a refund from hotel. Caused me some stress. Hotel were helpful and polite but system should be looked at please."

"The bed was the worst thing old and extremely uncomfortable matress ws hard and lumpy and the bed creaked whe i tried to turnover thank goodness i only stayed 2 nights instead of 3 that i intended.. breakfast was a non event even tho it was advertised..."

"Unfortunately, we were moved to their sister hotel named ‘The Drake Hotel’ due to no room available. But the Drake Hotel’ staff were amazing, very helpful with our little dog, set up private breakfast area and oh yeah the breakfast was delicious too."

"The hotel was exactly as described in photos. Clean, classy and very good value for money. We couldn’t hear any guests within property. Shower was powerful and nice and bathroom was clean. Bed comfortable, duvet thick but airy which was the perfect combo. Outside space from the room was well presents and clean. No bad smell and easy check in. Only thing I would critique is we couldn’t open window wide enough for our personal choice and could do with curtains as well blinds as that morning sun hit hard. But as whole I would absolutely recommend and return for a visit. Great stay."

"Solid overall, with it being ideally located close to transport & town centre it was easy to get around. If you're looking for something that is cheap but gives you a good value for money, then I'd recommend here. If I'm ever back in the area, I'll book here again."
