"Beautiful rooms, I've never seen so many light switches and sockets to plug into ! let down by poor maintenance on the bathroom doors, which didn't close due to not fitting in the frame by a few cm! Maybe they were just being installed, but not great when you can't close the door.
We had a very fancy fan, but would be cautious booking without air-con in the hotter times.
Breakfast was good ! proper bread, and a chef who can cook eggs without them being snotty or hard boiled !

"Room 3, an Indugence Room. I’d say it could be more indulging - larger bed, mattress topper, bathrobes - for example. Unfortunately it’s above the pub so can be noisy, especially when the staff run up and down the creaky stairs - we spent the night in our room and it was a constant irritation.
But other than that, the food is excellent, lovely decor, nice atmosphere, and Stockbridge is awesome."
"If you are running a music festival then that should have been clear when booking a room. The bar was so busy and noisy it was a struggle to even get in to the room certainly no option to sit in the bar with a drink. The restaurant offered some sanctuary however people then spilled into that area looking for a way out into the garden. All you could hear in the room is the bass from the music and although it finished after 10pm both the bar and the garden stayed busy. £199 for a room and...
