A beautiful place to spend a night or two if exploring the area. Comfortable individual rooms. The one I stayed in looks like it was once a stable block. Well furnished and very clean. Staff very friendly. Good parking. Close to picturesque village centre with many shops selling local produce. Highly recommended.

Room 3, an Indugence Room. I’d say it could be more indulging - larger bed, mattress topper, bathrobes - for example. Unfortunately it’s above the pub so can be noisy, especially when the staff run up and down the creaky stairs - we spent the night in our room and it was a constant irritation. But other than that, the food is excellent, lovely decor, nice atmosphere, and Stockbridge is awesome.

Very enjoyable last minute stay

We really enjoyed our overnight stay here. We had a lovely friendly greeting on arrival, our room was full of character with an extremely comfy bed and the food was delicious for dinner and breakfast. It was also extremely reasonably priced which is always an added bonus!

the staff were so accommodating, we were running late and they called to ask if we wanted to eat as the kitchen was taking last orders, the breakfast was excellent too. the rooms clean and had everything we needed, i would stay again.
