"The hotel looks a little tired from the outside but is well maintained and furnished inside. The room was very nice and big. We had a superior suite which had a massive double width bath and separate rooms we. We did find cob webs in the toilet and above the bath. The bed was a big round bed which turned out to be a bit hard and lumpy and when we pulled back the covers, the mattress itself was very heavily stained. The staff are friendly but don’t come across as very professional. They give the impression that they haven’t been in the hotel business very long. The breakfast was good but a little expensive and we had to choose what we wanted the day before which I didn’t like as there is no scope to change your mind. There is a small car park which was fine during our stay but may be be overcrowded when the hotel is full."

"We have been very happy with the whole experience. The accommodation, food, and helpful people. The only issue I had and would warn others is getting to and from the car park. The property is situated on a junction with the A6 which means taking extreme care when crossing to and from the car park."

"Brilliant to find a place in Matlock with parking and only 10 min walk into centre. The place was perfect for our anniversary and the steam room made it. Property is in quiet spot at back of period property. Beautiful. Tips: feather pillows - my fault didn’t ask pre booking. Internet weak. And could benefit for a bit of privacy infront of property if other guests using main house with main garden. That said, I did love the stay"

"Perfect B&B. Sue and John were very welcoming and couldn't have done more for us. Room was very spacious and comfortable. It was well equipped with lots of attention to detaill. Everything was spotlessly clean in the room and the communal areas. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice . Only downside was the road which was a bit challenging but we got used to it!"

"We had a lovely 2night stay in the cottage. It had all the amenities needed, clean and tidy and clear instructions on how to use the facilities. It was lovely to have a bit of garden access as well. Cromford is a very cute quiet village and was a convenient location close to Matlock Baths and is well placed to get to other areas of the Peak District. We explored Matlock, Bakewell & Buxton and did some walks around Castleton and Thorpe Cloud/ Dovedale. We had a great stay. Wish we had discovered the local Bookshop/cafe a bit sooner, only had 10 minutes to explore it before it closed!"

"Great house for a New Year’s Eve get together with friends and family. Kitchen really well stocked with pots and pans with more than enough crockery and glasses for a full house of guests plus plenty of fridge freezer space. We didn’t come across anything we were missing. Hosts were great, Terence came and greeted us on arrival and also came to say goodbye at the end of our stay but left us to our own devices for the rest of the trip which was perfect. Would stay again. "
