"An absolute gem This hotel was excellent - the rooms are all in keeping with the history of the building. The staff were amazing- many thanks to the maintenance man who told us so much of the house history. The food was excellent and we had some great wine. Loved every minute x "

"Harriet is a wonderful host, helping me with the smallest of enquiries before our group of 12 people arrived.All the beds and rooms where comfortable and the sitting room was a delight to keep the woodburner company in the evenings with a plentiful wood supply.The sun shone for our stay and we saw hares on the front lawn. The wellingtonia trees where magnificent to see.We hope to be back."

"We stayed for weekend friday to sunday. The Hotel is a traditional scottish village hotel doubling as village pub, with an old fashioned layout including a seperate entrance for the bar. So to use the bar you actually leave the hotel and re enter the bar. Some will find that quaint and charming The room was comfortable, clean and warm and everything worked. Breakfast was excellent and service was attentive. This is a small village hotel not a chain. Service reflected that, nice and attentive but not as many amenities. We enjoyed our stay "
