"I’ve rented several homes and this home by far was the best one I’ve ever selected for my vacation. Not only was it exactly as stated but it felt like “home”. It was cozy, clean and comfortable. We rented for a week to get away with family and enjoy time together. Two of our family members stayed next door at the Lodge which worked out perfectly. Tim (owner) checked in on us a few times and was great! You can tell he truly cares about your stay. We rented a Pontoon boat for a couple days and it was great to have the dock right there. We also brought kayaks but didn’t really need to as there are 4 there along with paddle boards. The fire pit was awesome and the “ice box” was perfect for family movie nights and a rainy day. Would highly recommend (and already did) as well as plan to return! Excellent trip!"
A beautiful lake view cabin on Friends Lake

"We vacationed with our family and rented the 2 cabins. The cabin was very clean and very homey. There was everything we needed. Although there was no air conditioning, there were plenty of fans for the hot nights. We could see the lake from our deck, and was only a 2 minute walk from the cabin. My family enjoyed the lake and made use of the kayaks. There was a grill and fire pit outside. We ate most of our meals outside at the picnic table. Amanda quickly responded to any questions during the renting process and very accommodating to requests. We arrived as it was getting dark, the lights were turned on in the house for us and Dan came by in the morning to check and see if we needed anything. The cabin is surrounded pines trees. Our family had a wonderful time and hope to return next year!"
Beautiful lakeview cottage on Friends Lake

"Our family (6 adults, 1 toddler) rented both cottages for the week. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. It is surrounded by pine trees and just a 2 minute walk to the beach. We could see the lake from the deck. We enjoyed the beach, especially my grandson and the water was so clear. Our family made use of the kayaks. Amanda was easy to communicate with during the rental process. Dan came over and showed us beach area and which kayaks and row boats were for us to use. We had a wonderful time and hope to return next year."

"We had a wonderful vacation here. We had never been to this part of the Adirondacks, but we really appreciated being well within walking distance from Chestertown’s main street (and an even shorter distance to a very good coffee shop). It’s also an easy drive (under 30 mins) to Lake George and Bolton Landing, which we enjoyed visiting, but also made us glad we had opted to stay a bit further removed from the summer crowds.As for the house itself, it was charming - my husband and I liked the pictures, but it felt even cozier once we were there. The hot tub was appreciated by the whole family, and we had an excellent time stargazing around the firepit. But it was also just nice to lounge around in the living room on our various screens. I don’t think we were there 24 hours before my kids started calling the farmhouse home.Finally, Kristin is an excellent host - so friendly and very helpful and responsive when we had questions. The binder she put together was really useful when we first arrived and were trying to figure out a flexible itinerary for our trip. Check-in and check-out instructions were easy and reasonable. We don’t generally repeat vacation destinations - a family of novelty seekers - but we’re definitely considering another trip here in the future."

"The staff was amazing and the restaurant was fantastic the little bit we got to try it. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed two of the three days we were there however the nightly price increased each day. The grounds are in need of some TLC however the room was clean and comfortable. I think the nightly rate needs some adjusting."

"Wendy and Anthony are 5-star incredible hosts. They’re working non-stop revitalizing this beautiful property. I would come back just to support their continued dedication and their welcoming, generous nature. Kudos to you both and we wish you every success! The pool is new and very relaxing - we definitely spent most of our time here. The hosts offered us pool toys for our kids to use which was so nice. The lake is a short walk down the road with a safe swimming area, sand and a lifeguard (during operating hours). The hosts offer non-motorized watercraft on carts to wheel down with you. There’s a playground for small kids and a games room for older kids. They have bonfires each night and fireworks some nights too. We stayed in the upper chalet - new plates, silverware, cups, glasses, etc. Appliances, towels and bedsheets were clean. Each room has a window air conditioner which keeps it cool. Interior still needs some updating throughout but it is well maintained. Lots to do around the resort if you feel like leaving. The scenic caves were very cool! Hosts have lots of recommendations which were spot on."
