Anna had fresh baked cookies for us as we arrived and it was just the most wonderful experience. "Nice hotel which is reasonably close to the airport. Shuttle service (one way) from the hotel to the airport is a bonus. Too bad there's no shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Not sure why. Dinner at the restaurant was good, and is the only dining option available. We didn't see any restaurants within walking distance. Our only complaint is that our room was very warm even with the window opened and the thermostat turned OFF. We couldn't understand why, since this is a first floor room....

"We stayed at Farmhouse Lodge’s Chicken house for 2 days before Christmas and absolutely loved it. The Chicken house has everything- fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and bathroom. The location is wonderful since you can go and see several waterfalls and black sands beaches near by. Highly recommend to anyone who likes to explore that area of Iceland."

"Beautiful property, everything is new and modern. We enjoyed our stay here. Keep in mind, it is a hostel style property and was a little more noisy, even in our private room, as other guests were moving about the hallways and closing doors all night to use the bathroom and such. It was not bad at all, just something that should probably be expected at this type of property. With that being said, we would certainly stay here again."

"This place looks like nothing from the road. Probably an farmhouse at one point. They had some nice Christmas lights on the building to cheer it up. They are maybe 5 miles (8 km) west of Vik. The road to town goes up and over, with some switchbacks, so it could be dicey for tourists in the winter if the weather is bad. "We stayed in the family room with the priate bathroom. Its on the first floor and was a lovely room with a modern bathroom. Its right next to the kitchen, but its alsp on the ground floor so you may hear some noise from the upstairs guests. This guesthouse is right next to Gott, which is a FABULOUS restaurant at which we dined for both lunch and dinner. It's within a few blocks of a pharmacy and one of the hiking trailheads. "
