Staff were really great. It was unfortunate that a thunder storm had caused a problem in the kitchen meaning dinner wasn’t possible but that was fixed by breakfast next day. Good breakfast except no ‘proper’ coffee. The hotel is a lovely old building, with nice rooms, although a few areas would benefit from a freshen up. Nice grounds to take in too.
Overall good value for money. Beautiful place, beautiful restaurant. Breakfast was good. Breakfast lady was friendly and helpful.Toilet/ shower is very small but we managed. Room needs a good clean especially the carpet in room 107.
Staff were great, the hotel looked stunning and the grounds were amazing. The breakfast was delicious too.
The room we had was in the attic so I kept hitting my head, the main light in the room was above the doorway which was around a corner so didn’t really help at all. There was water and hair in the bottom of the shower when we arrived as if someone had only just had a shower. There were patches of damp in the room around the window and on the ceiling.
Beautiful place, room alittle small but managed as only there for 1 night.
Food was amazing, staff were lovely.

The room was clean, the staff were lovely the only thing was that the walls were very thin so you could hear the room next door moving around and their tv
Room had cobwebs hanging from ceiling old windows letting cold in over priced food what was tasteless £18 for steak pie and a hand full of thick cut chips only good thing comfortable bed and nice friendly staff

The hotel is beautiful and maintains many original features. There is a masterpiece of juxtaposition with the old meeting the new aspects, I loved this hotel and would recommend it to anyone. The food was melt in the mouth and homemade yummy! Also it was very reasonable prices for such a good hotel well done!! Will see you soon
