"The hotel was lovely. The Onsen was gorgeous, with view on the mountains. Everything was well maintained, staff very useful, bus stops are also close to the hôtels if you need to get around and do not have a car. We loved this place"

"I recommend this property, excellent service and quality!"

"Hotel itself is excellent. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Rooms are huge and beds are comfy. In room onsen is barely large enough for 2, but still a nice feature. Public spa area was great when we were there. Had the place to ourselves at 7am. Might be less pleasant when busier. Only downside really was that we were only there for one night and it was heaving with rain. As a result, didn’t really do any of the things we planned. One note, and this is mentioned on the website, there is...

"食事と温泉をメインにしている方にはピッタリ"

"チェックイン〜チェックアウトまでなんの不便もない。 そんな中、意味深だがスパは別会社かな？？"

"A little disappointed with our stay, the staff were lovely we went to the lakeside grill after booking a table, for a buffet it was expensive and the food was subpar and not as advertised on the video signs. As the weather wasn’t favourable we decided to leave early and didn’t even stay for breakfast. There is a lot of potential for improvement it needs reinvestment and an update it’s in a wonderful place but needs to match that with amenities."

"The hotel was just magical, from start to finish we loved every minute of HAKONE Setsugetsuka, especially the private Onsen. We also used the bath in our room which was fabulous. Highly recommend this hotel wish is right next to the train station so great if you don't want to walk to far."

"Before we got to the hotel the communication about getting to the hotel from the train station was poor and unhelpful. It was disappointing that there wasn’t a restaurant for a light lunch or dinner. And we asked about restaurants nearby we were only told of one. We found one we liked on our own. The hotel was lovely and I especially liked the women only bath."

"Love this place, so beautiful, Japanese style."

"Great Hotel, and outdoor private hot bath"

"スタッフさんは、良く教育されていて 気配りの利く対応でした。"

"We enjoyed our time at Gora Hanaougi. The staffs were welcoming and always ready to help us and make us feel at home. Love our breakfast and dinner there. It’s a five stars ryokan!"
