"We loved this little cottage - it was comfortable, clean and based within a working dairy farm with cows, sheep and birds around. A wonderful place to stay and relax just enjoying country living. Only one thing to note is that there is no internet and very little phone connection - but good for relaxing and recharging. Ideal location for walking and great place to explore the Peak district from."

"Great house, views spectacular and so close to all the great houses, walks and beautiful villages and towns. Thank you for a great week and a cozy well equipped house. Good luck for the future."

"The hotel and room was extremely clean , the staff were lovely and it is very dog friendly"

"Lovely stay. Helpful and polite staff. Good food excellent choice. Breakfast amazing. They even give you a packed lunch everyday. Room cosy and clean..will return."

"Beautiful place to stay. Would highly recommend. Staff were friendly and dinner in the restaurant was so good the first night we went again on our second."

"Nice lounge to relax and read. Breakfast was great quality, lots of choice and good coffee! We booked a private room with ensuite which was in the barn annex. This was basic, but ok, but the heating wasn't working in that building. Soaking wet after 20mile walk. Staff eventually moved us to another private room, 4 bed, in the main building. On arrival at 5pm was told to order dinner before 6.30pm as there was a large group booked in at 7pm. So we did at 6.00pm only to be told the chef was now...

"Will not be returning, staff not helpful at all, dog friendly but couldn’t even let the dog have a sausage at breakfast as they had ran out, they had also ran out of biscuits for the room, garden peas and orange juice. Not a cheap nights stay so these things should not be running out!! Best staff were the morning we were leaving, had they had been on all weekend it would have made it a more pleasant stay"

"Really clean room had everything you need. Staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful. Shops were a five minute walk but down a steep hill but we didn't mind."

"Loved this place! Staff were friendly and accommodating. Loved the service with a smile very welcoming. Will definitely return here."

"Perfect in every way."

"Lovely room, perfect for relaxing after a day out walking. Chosen because it was dog friendly and it did not disappoint - good for walking into town and loved that there was a map showing us how to get there by avoiding the main road. Breakfasts were delicious! Thank you for our stay."

"Very good clean well managed."

"Excellent location, shops and amenities on the doorstep. Clean, tidy room with good setting to make your stay comfortable as possible."

"Wonderful 2 night stay for a walking weekend, exceptional customer service and superb food."

"We would go back."
