"I have gone by this hotel for over thirty years and always wanted to stay here. Our room had a magnificent view of the lake and everything from the Ferris wheel at Navy Pier to the Field Museum. The room did not have good climate control. We did have to have the windows open. Thankfully, the weather was mild outside, which made things ultimately very comfortable."

"I love and recommend the RIU! The staff, service, rooms are sooo excelent. My boys of the rooftop John, Francisco, José and William made my solo trip so good and chill. The front desk guys so good and Jesus from the lobby bar so polite and frindly. If you are doing a solo trip, friend trip o any trip to Chicago please stay at this hotel! "We were initially booked at the main location on the River Walk, but we were then instructed that we would need to move to another nearby location upon arrival. The receptionist told us that the company intentionally overbooks its main location and reserves some capacity at other locations to entice customers. BE VERY WARY OF THE BAIT AND SWITCH. If you stay at this hotel (I highly advise against it), I recommend calling ahead to verify that you are actually booked at the correct location."
