The porter at the ferry was very friendly and helpful, but the woman working the front desk when we arrived was rude."

"Bicycle Street Inn is well located relative to getting on and off the ferry. However, it is also right in the middle of the most congested spot on Main Street because of the ferry arrivals and departures as well as two of the largest bicycle rental shops all across the street in the space of 100 yards from the main entrance to the Inn. Some may like that hustle and bustle but if you are looking for a quiet hotel environment ... you may want to look elsewhere."

"Great stay, will be back to LakeView. Room had sound machine which was a plus. Did not expect the city view room to be that small but that’s all we needed me and my husband. When you are at the island you’re out and about enjoying the nature and surrounding."

It was a very special splurge for us, but it was the highlight of our trip. It's a nice escape to the countryside. A very nice view of the Mackinaw Bridge and the beach area was nice for sitting and enjoying the view, but no access to actually swim. The pool, free breakfast, and general grounds were all nicely maintained."

"I didn't know what to expect coming into Sunrise Beach Motel since I had read both very positive reviews as well as some pretty scathing ones. But my experience was excellent. We were given a nicely rehabbed 2nd story room overlooking Lake Huron with beautiful views of the bridge and surrounding islands. Our room had the pinewood paneling on the walls and new LVP flooring. "The beds were clean. The rest was a dump. Wallpaper peeling off the wall in multiple places, tv did not work, bathroom shower head super low- would not even hit above my son’s shoulders. Black dots all over the bathroom ceiling- no fan for bathroom to help humidity. Broken ice machine outside the room. Front office looked abandoned, all check ins had to go through the neighboring hotel that advertised much cheaper rooms and property was much nicer. Door knob had a lock on it (not a dead bolt)...
