We were immediately moved to a slightly larger room where the AC worked well. Manager said they were gradually replacing the AC units. This is a motel. Just a place to sleep. Felt safe, but right on a main road. Would prefer to see a deadbolt added rather than just a door lock."

"Bicycle Street Inn is well located relative to getting on and off the ferry. However, it is also right in the middle of the most congested spot on Main Street because of the ferry arrivals and departures as well as two of the largest bicycle rental shops all across the street in the space of 100 yards from the main entrance to the Inn. Some may like that hustle and bustle but if you are looking for a quiet hotel environment ... you may want to look elsewhere."

"I didn't know what to expect coming into Sunrise Beach Motel since I had read both very positive reviews as well as some pretty scathing ones. But my experience was excellent. We were given a nicely rehabbed 2nd story room overlooking Lake Huron with beautiful views of the bridge and surrounding islands. Our room had the pinewood paneling on the walls and new LVP flooring. "The beds were clean. The rest was a dump. Wallpaper peeling off the wall in multiple places, tv did not work, bathroom shower head super low- would not even hit above my son’s shoulders. Black dots all over the bathroom ceiling- no fan for bathroom to help humidity. Broken ice machine outside the room. Front office looked abandoned, all check ins had to go through the neighboring hotel that advertised much cheaper rooms and property was much nicer. Door knob had a lock on it (not a dead bolt)...

However, the property is older and could use quite a bit of maintenance and upkeep. While my room was clean for the most part, it felt run down.
