"We stayed for one night in a standard room, which was very comfortable and spacious, with a view of the extensive grounds. The buildings and gardens are beautiful and the staff friendly and attentive. Our room was below a family room which unfortunately for us was occupied by children who jumped around and slammed doors until gone 1am, and I’m assuming it was the children! Not the hotel’s fault of course but noteworthy. Breakfast was good, served at the table. There were two waiters - a highly experienced man, who was excellent, and another one who was either very inexperienced or having a bad day. Coffee was brought full of grounds and had to be sent back, and my partner’s cooked breakfast was plonked on the table before she’d finished eating some porridge. Not the service I’d expected. Despite our experiences, I would still recommend Amberley Castle as a great place to stay as it oozes charm - and you’re unlikely to have kids bouncing around in the room above you, or meet that particular waiter."

"From Booking in to Booking out reception staff were polite friendly and greeted me with a smile rooms were dated but comfortable and clean all credit to the housekeeping team well done breakfast was great plenty of choice .nice sitting area around the hotel for talking or having a quiet drink with family would stay here again thanks "

"Central location. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Stayed during a heat wave and couldn’t adjust the AC to lower temperatures. No dedicated parking, discounted local NCP parking opposite. Very good restaurant and bar. I was looked after. I would definitely stay here again. "
