"A thoroughly enjoyable stay. We were in room 3 which had a challenging set of stairs, no lift due to nature of the historic building. Very atmospheric place bang in the middle of the town great access on foot to all amenities. A 10 minute stroll to the Castle and the excellent car park. Breakfast was first class value. "This is the best room i have stayed in within this kind of setting. I booked a single budget room. It was brilliant. Very large room with a small double bed in it , much better than a single bed. Lovely bedding. Lovely spacious bathroom with fabulous products.no need to bring your own. Great brands of tea, coffee and biscuits. At breakfast i ask ed for mine to be cooked well done however it came back with pale bacon and sausage. All i ate was the egg. However their was lovely berries, greek...

"Entrance to car park is very narrow if you have a big car. Front door closed at 10pm so would have to access from rear of property up steep stairs to fire exit and enter with fob. We were back by 9:45pm and we could not buy a drink as last orders had been called 🙁. But clean, comfortable room and central so would stay again for price."
