"Great breakfast, nice room, good bed, good bar, car park a bit tight but there's an NCP opposite."

"Aside from a member of staff called Kane who was exceptionally helpful, our experience for a birthday break was beyond disappointing. We initially stayed at the sister property The Swan in Tarporley where staff were outstanding but at The Lion we were greeted in what can only be described as very patronising, unwelcoming and brusque, by who we understand to be Beth. "Setting is stunning. Good gorgeous and rooms really lovely and comfy. Staff are really helpful and friendly. Totally recommend a visit."

"It was an ok visit but we wouldn't go back - just wasn't an inviting experience - and no dinner served on Monday meant we had to go out"
