"I got bumped from a flight out of Marco Polo Venice airport so I was forced to find accommodations until the following morning. I elected to go for something closer to VCE, preferably with a shuttle from and back to the airport. While the Crowne Plaza advertises a free shuttle they only provide it if you reserve it 24 hours in advance. "Easy 20 minute bus ride into Venice. The bus stop is just across the hotel and a bit down towards the gas station. Nice, clean property in a quiet neighborhood with a view of Venice from the terrace. The lobby was done up nicely as well as the back patio. Shuttle bus to and from airport was an additional charge, but available. The front desk staff and bar tender were friendly and spoke English."
