"I was disappointed to discover that this hotel also operates as a dormitory for the University of Tampa, which was not disclosed at the time of booking. As a result, the overall experience was far from what I expected from a hotel stay. Amenities such as the pool were essentially unusable due to overcrowding, and the lack of peace and quiet was a major issue. The hallways were consistently loud, with significant noise from late-night activity—often from 11:00 PM through 5:30 AM—making it difficult to rest. My stay, from Thursday through Sunday morning, was unfortunately very unpleasant. I strongly believe the Barrymore should be more transparent about this arrangement so guests can make informed decisions. Overall, this was a highly disappointing experience, and I would not recommend staying here."
