"The is small but very clean Staff were very friendly and so helpful I had no car so I didn’t need a car park. Air conditioning was good for the this time of the year."

"The property is a beautiful, yet old hotel with a rich history. However, my stay was not great. Front desk staff, if they’re there, act as if you’re an inconvenience - one gentleman was outrightly rude. I had questions about the train and opted to walk to the station and ask instead of risking another unpleasant interaction. Tap in bathroom broken, room not cleaned for the entirety of the stay. Could not reach the hotel by phone or email to let them know of my cancelled flight and late check in....

"The bedroom was poky,e.g. a tight squeeze between the foot of the bed and the TV on the wall. Some of the staff very good, others off hand. The food however and value for money was excellent."

"Room was cleaned daily. Rooms in need of a bit of TLC, only one handle on a lot of the windows should 2, making it more noisy. Carpets in the rooms could do with a clean. Staff was friendly and efficient. Food although limited menu was nice. Would stay again."

"Great location within easy walking distance to plenty of bars and restaurants. The nearest car park was reasonably priced at £6 for 24 hours. The room was nicely furnished and very clean. I loved the decor throughout the building too. The staff were very welcoming. My only negative was the lift was out of service and we were on the 4th floor so lots of steps to deal with. This wasn't the end of the world and wouldn't prevent me from going back."
