"The room was excellent for a single person room. The elevator was not working. I was on the 3rd floor but opted to stay even though they offered to switch rooms to the 1st floor the next day. Old hotel with Character..would stay again."
"Definitely needs some updating! Bed was not comfortable. Had a cute little sitting area by the windows looking over the water but the lights didn’t work in it. The upstairs halls smelled of cigarette smoke, but that may have been from guests in another room that were not complying with the non smoking policy. On the positive side, the food in the restaurant was delicious. I had the curry and it was excellent! And they had a good bottle of Malbec to go with it. The staff
were very nice and...
"This hotel was perfectly fine. It was the most unremarkable experience. Nothing was wrong with it. The rooms were fine (except both the television and bathroom fan didn't work). The restaurant and breakfast were fine.
Their dinner prices are STEEP, and had run out of dinner items both nights. If you go 10min up the road to their sister restaurant Kingshouse Hotel, the food is much better for about half the price.
Bartending staff were great. I wouldn't be mad about staying here again, but I...
"Great place right in the heart of Oban. 2 minute walk to Oban Distillery. The whisky bar downstairs was really fun and convenient. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful."
"I know they know how to do hoteling, but the property was in very poor condition, the hotel was OLD and not that it was not clean, but it didnt look pristine."
"Despite how it looks on the outside, this is a very nice hotel. The outside looks rough and needs some attention, but our room was lovely. If you have heavy luggage, be aware that you have to bring it up several stairs to reach the lobby (there is no ramp or lift - the stairs are the only way). The breakfast was good, the people were pleasant, and the amenities were fine. The standout feature of this hotel is the location. Oban is a really lovely town and this hotel is right across from...
"Absolutely stunning place!!! The rooms are huge, the property itself is simply breath taking. Staff are the best!!! A must-stay when visiting the highlands."
"Overall, the stay was okay, especially considering the location. However, don’t expect a modern hotel experience. The hotel is quite old, and the rooms and facilities feel dated. The doors still use traditional keys, and there is no elevator, which made carrying my luggage upstairs quite difficult.
Breakfast was quite limited, with only a few options to choose from. I didn’t get a chance to try the hot tub. On the positive side, the parking was free and convenient. Overall, it wasn’t a bad...
"The Dalrigh House was clean and quiet, and those qualities are important to us. However, we thought that "private bathroom" meant that it was exclusively ours. This was a misunderstanding on our part, and we don't blame the hotel for that. We left our towels in the bathroom, thinking that no one else was using it, and they were taken by housekeeping. After that, we tried to contact Dalrigh House via messages, and because we didn't receive a prompt response, we ended up having to use a single...
"The room was inexpensive so I didn't expect a lot. The room was larger than I expected but there were some maintenance issues. There was no hot water in the room so I had to go to a different room down the hall to take a shower that had an electric water heater. The light over the sink in the bathroom didn't work but there was an electric kettle with tea and coffee available. Nice people in a very old building"
"The stay at Blair villa was fantastic! Such a beautiful apartment, amazing view, in the fun city of oban. We loved having our coffee in the piano room. Hosts were very friendly and helpful Thank you !"
