"Room was spot on for our needs.Very comfy beds.Breakfast was decent enough.No tomatoes,mushrooms..That to me is a full English.Staff very helpful.Asked for iron and ironing board.It was waiting outside our room n our return.Would definitely recommend."
"My problem is probably mostly with Expedia. I didn't tick the box saying that I wanted a pet-friendly hotel, but the staff informed me after arrival that all their rooms were of that nature, and they didn't respond to a request via the Expedia website for a pet-free room prior to my setting off. It was clear efforts were made to minimise the effect of their policy on cleanliness but nevertheless it wasn't what I'd have chosen, if clearly informed."
"It looked on the surface a lovely hotel. Sadly when up close, the rooms were not finished off properly, seals around doors, bathroom, floor, pieces of wood instead of door stops. Bulding rubble in the decked beer garden. The good bones are there but needs finished properly and cleaned regularly, a lot of dust.
Need more staff.
It could be lovely with a bit if TLC"
"We had a lovely stay at the Oaks. The staff were all very helpful, and the food was delicious in the bar in the evening, and the breakfast was also great!
The car park was always busy, but we were always able to find a space."
"No frills. Bar can be noisy but earplugs are supplied.Room 5 is above pub entrance so smokers on pavement can be noisy. Huge variety of fresh fruit and cereals"
"We stayed for 3 nights in the Hetton bedroom.
Very clean, lovely bathroom and comfy bed.
Just the pillows that I didn’t get on with.
Breakfast was great, plenty of choice both hot and cold.
On two of our three evenings we ate in the inn and the food was great, cannot fault any of it.
Lovely, friendly staff.
Great position for travelling to all the sights in Northumberland.

"Really nice 3 star close to Lindisfarne. Perfect for judging the crossing times to the island and close enough by car to Berwick upon Tweed for a great choice of restaurants. Banburgh Castle is also close-by."
"Self access = soulless. Didn't see another person. Empty tables in the dining room felt like the Marie Celeste.

"Great location, close to Beadnell, ideal for coastal walks or St Cuthbert’s and St Oswald’s Ways. Friendly host, lovely lady, fresh fruit was a nice kind touch. Bed was clean and comfortable, but the cupboard used to house the tea and coffee needs cleaning, as does the shower door. A new sign outside, and fire evacuation routes inside the room would make it even better."
