"It was so rainy the week we stayed at Kaatskill Mountain Club that we were basically confined to our room or the very nice lounge off the lobby. We entertained ourselves with good books, tablets, crosswords, art supplies, etc. The constant rain kept us out of the pool. We tried the steam room and sauna. But they were a little complicate to operate and staff weren't around. Because of the rain, there was a "boil water" warning. So the staff put a water fountain in the lobby. We'd return to the hotel after checking the long range weather forecast."

"Pleasant for a short stay. Excellent location with shops, restaurants and farmers market in walking distance. The Hotel is outdated but very clean and the staff was pleasant."
