"We stayed 4 nights and highly recommend Hotel Varusha. Everyone we met from checking in to our departure was friendly and helpful, even using a translation device to chat about the fascinating history of Veliko Tarnovo. The location is in the Old Town and in a good location for sightseeing, cafés and restaurants. Our room had a lovely view over the atmospheric orange -tiled rooftops to green hills beyond. "Apollo was nice place. Air conditioning was our top priority and it worked perfectly! There was laundry machine at the apartment which was also a big plus. Although it was left wet and closed so it smelled a bit bad in the beginning. Few empty rounds with high temp and it was ok. Beds were mediocre for big guys like us but I can't say it was bad.
