"I booked this hotel for 3 nights, but I could only stay for 1 night because the condition of the room was completely unacceptable. The room was extremely dirty and did not feel hygienic or safe. The bedsheets were dirty, the walls were badly stained, and the overall standard of cleanliness was very poor.
The worst part of my stay was finding bedbugs in the room. I immediately reported this to reception, expecting the issue to be taken seriously, but the staff showed very little concern and did...
"I stayed in the single room. A tidy and comfy room. The windows had been left open so it was cold when I arrived but it did quickly warm up. No blinds in the velux windows which would have been annoying if I’d have stayed until daylight. I didn’t see or use any of the communal areas so can’t comment. Enough driveway space for 3 cars. Literally 2 minutes from my airport parking. Would stop again if flying from Luton."
"Since I like to start with the positives, the inn was central enough that it was within walking distance to city center, the breakfast was acceptable, the courtyard cute, and the young woman who checked us in was helpful. Other than that, this was the worst stay I’ve had in a long time. First and foremost the room was literally on top of a massive street construction project and the heavy machinery ran all night ( I’m talking 2am ). It was sweltering and the tiny fan did next to nothing. They...
"Sehr nettes Personal, sehr gute Anbindung mit dem Bus zum Flughafen, das Zimmer war klein aber für eine kurze Nacht zwischen 2 Flügen absolut ausreichend. Leider hatte ich keine Zeit für das Frühstück - es hat sehr lecker ausgeschaut. Ich werde bei meinem nächsten Overnightstay in LHR auf jeden Fall wieder hier buchen."
"At this price point I expected more. Self check in, additional cost for parking, no breakfast all contributed to making the cost feel high for what it was. Plus no make up of the room nor replenishment of coffee/tea/milk (and no visible way to request that as there were no staff about).
Room was nice enough, and clean. Bathroom could have done with reflecting the needs of female travellers (eg feminine hygiene disposal bags?).
Easy to get to the city centre / Summertown by bus or on foot...
"Poorly maintained ripped carpets to stairways poorly maintained rooms Restaurant closed apparently for maintenance so breakfast is in a little room just off reception not enough places to sit so went out for breakfast due to these issues so cant comment on the standard of food on offer."
"Never I have I booked a hotel that doesn't have breakfast available, no staff even on duty until midday. We had to walk nearly 2 miles to a local shop just to buy breakfast things. Nowhere in any of the details of the hotel booking process does it say they dot serve breakfast. They even have a sign out the front saying 'bed and breakfast' they told me they stopped doing breakfast some time ago because they apparently didn't want to pay the extra wages. They should explicitly say there is no...
"Room was clean but very basic. Mattresses could do with being replaced as very worn. Air conditioning not working, replaced with a fan. Doesn't appear to have had any money spent on it since being an immigration hotel."
"Just got back from a 2 night stay. Absolutely charming place to stay staff were so friendly and helpful. So close to the Center just a brief stroll down the lane would definitely come back to stay again. The dog loved it too"
"A great option for a quick 1-night stay in central Oxford. My top floor room was clean and comfortable, with a new TV, fan, kettle, water and biscuits. The bathroom was perfectly adequate, with a warm shower and towels/toiletries provided. No complaints at all - some of the reviews seem a little unfair.
I appreciate it probably gets quite hot in summer, and there was a minor smell in the ground floor entrance hall, but otherwise all was OK. Very fast check-in which was appreciated given I was...
"The room was clean ok for a good nights sleep.
The bed was comfy.
But unfortunately there was a hot water issue in the hotel so we had not hot water at all....
Also a lack of plugs i the room to charge anything."
"The reception is unmanned but I got an answer from the contact number straight away. All simple enough.. the hotel was clean and convenient, a little tired but fine.. could have done with a spoon on the drinks tray in the room."
