"We stayed at Farmhouse Lodge’s Chicken house for 2 days before Christmas and absolutely loved it. The Chicken house has everything- fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and bathroom. The location is wonderful since you can go and see several waterfalls and black sands beaches near by. Highly recommend to anyone who likes to explore that area of Iceland."

"This place looks like nothing from the road. Probably an farmhouse at one point. They had some nice Christmas lights on the building to cheer it up. They are maybe 5 miles (8 km) west of Vik. The road to town goes up and over, with some switchbacks, so it could be dicey for tourists in the winter if the weather is bad. I was traveling with my daughter, so the room with two beds (room #2) worked out well. I really liked this place. The young man who checked us in was friendly and...

"Amazing experience "

"Beautiful property, everything is new and modern. We enjoyed our stay here. Keep in mind, it is a hostel style property and was a little more noisy, even in our private room, as other guests were moving about the hallways and closing doors all night to use the bathroom and such. It was not bad at all, just something that should probably be expected at this type of property. With that being said, we would certainly stay here again."
