"Perfect location on Half Moon Bay to enjoy the laid back vibe. Can walk to almost everything including Yal-ku lagoon for amazing snorkeling and the turtle preserve. Our late September visit was somewhat hampered by seasonal heavy seaweed on the beach but swimming was good at the preserve, Yal-ku and hotel pool. The hotel itself was very clean and comfortable (we got the small apartment). The adjoining Buena Vida restaurant and bar had amazing food and sunset views. A wonderful place."

"Beautiful property in a gated community. The seaweed was pretty horrible but that is not the host’s fault. Hoping that something is figured out to help contain the seaweed for the future because it is a beautiful area. Beach was unusable. Perhaps a warning in the listing would help guests understand the situation. The listing stating white sand and crystal clear water could be misleading.It was a beautiful home but needs some updating. The sliding doors did not work well and were constantly breaking. Was hard to get in and out of pool area. Also, the stove was very difficult to use. Sometimes inoperable. Should probably get a new one. We had a chef come to the home one night and that issue affected the service.Putting those aside - the house was big and perfect for our party of 12. The house itself is very nice/clean and has lots of space. We made best of the seaweed situation and used the pool for several hours a day. The pool is fantastic! And cleaned everyday. The host and staff were wonderful and very communicative. There is a hotel within walking distance that has a small little beach club with great pizza that we spent lots of time visiting. Staff there is also amazing(they let us borrow board games to use at the house!). Would I visit again - yes. Would I research the sargassum before visiting? Yes. We had a great ten days in a beautiful country and made memories for a lifetime."

"The place was very pretty and the room description as shown. The bathroom didn’t have a door which was annoying when showering and there are A LOT of mosquitos in the property. After the sun goes down you practically can’t go out of your room because of it. Also the bedding didn’t smell fresh, I don’t think it was washed. Other than that very beautiful place and affordable price."

"We had a wonderful stay at this home! The house was beautiful, spotless, and well-maintained across all three floors. It was fully equipped with everything we needed—including coal for grilling—which made our stay even more enjoyable.Hector, our host, took a bit longer than expected to respond at times, but he was always helpful and attentive. He even arranged for extra towels and bed sheets to be delivered promptly when we needed them.The only small things missing were baking pans, and the listing mentioned “beach,” but the house is not actually on the beach, which was a bit misleading. Aside from that, the house truly had it all. We had such a great time that we ended up spending most of our time there. Overall, a fantastic stay and we’d definitely go back!"

El lugar es hermoso, muy bien cuidado y con una atención a los detalles que realmente marca la diferencia. El servicio fue excepcional. Todo el equipo fue increíblemente amable, atento y siempre dispuesto a ayudar con una sonrisa. Me hicieron sentir muy bienvenido durante toda mi estancia. La habitación estaba impecable, muy limpia, cómoda y con todo funcionando perfectamente. El ambiente es tranquilo, acogedor y realmente ideal para descansar y disfrutar. Honestamente, todo salió exactamente como lo imaginaba, incluso mejor. Fue una estancia maravillosa y sin duda alguna volvería a hospedarme aquí. Recomiendo este lugar al 100%.
