"Good help full staff ideal location for exploring Chester and the surrounding areas. One negative it's not the easiest car park to find"

"Room spacious, very comfy beds. Opening window and radiator was ideal as due to having asthma, air con can make my condition worse so was glad to have options. Breakfast was an excellent selection. Staff attentive, happy to help, but left you be to relax and be a guest not a customer which so few hotels now do. Very pleased, will stay here again and recommend it to friends and family. "

"We have been coming here every year for the last 10 years. Decor hasn’t changed and really is in need of a refurb now. Breakfast was also really disappointing this year, no decent hot drinks unless you paid for them in addition to a hot breakfast. Also VERY surprised having to pay for breakfast before leaving the restaurant (rather than at check out) This used to be the gold standard hotel to stay at for the races but not now I’m afraid."

"This apartment was just about perfect in every way with one big exception. Loved the decor, beds were comfy, had everything we needed, the location was wonderful--an easy, short walk to the historic area of downtown Chester where you can find a gorgeous cathedral, great shops and restaurants, and we felt very safe and secure. Loved being so close to the river front and the Roman garden. Our only complaint was the overpowering scent of air and toilet fresheners. Not the place for you if you are in any way scent sensitive. Also, note that the bathtub is pretty high so may be an issue for those who are elderly or physically disabled and there is no elevator so you'll have to carry your bags up 3 short sets of stairs. Really everything about the place is wonderful except the strong perfumey scent that permeated even after we stored the odor dispensers away. Also note that there is very convenient parking right across the street that you have to pay 10 pounds a day for and that includes leaving your car overnight. The parking lot attendant, Adam, is a real sweetheart! Everything was so easy to walk to that we never moved our car the entire 3 days we were there. Best restaurant in town is Zugers--really tasty Swiss food and pleasant staff. Loved the Oren and Baron fine art galleries. The cathedral is absolutely magnificent and the Overleigh Cemetery is definitely worth the walk to see! Especially pretty in late April, early May as the bluebells are growing all over the graves there"
